Who Are We Looking For?

An organized, analytical, self-motivated customer success and account management expert.

We are looking for someone with the following experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in an account management role (or comparable client-facing role) at an agency or an in-house marketing/advertising department.
  • Thorough understanding of digital advertising/marketing & 2 years' experience working in the industry. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Facebook Business Manager (1-2 years' experience).
  • Experience and comfort analyzing and manipulating marketing data.
  • Ability to deliver detail oriented high-quality projects/reports for customers under deadlines.
  • Ability to oversee a customer throughout their entire lifecycle and consult on selling further services upon project completion.
  • Excellent communication skills - constant customer & team communication will be very important for this role. The ideal candidate is able to effectively email, call, and video conference with enterprise-level customers throughout the customer lifecycle from implementation meetings to ongoing report meetings.
  • Innovative operational thinking - ability to create, document, & constantly improve internal processes for customer success.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage customer accounts and relationships with throughout their entire lifecycle. Our customers are sophisticated digital media managers who are subject matter experts.
  • Consult on selling further services at the completion of each project timeline (where applicable).
  • Organize & maintain up-to-date customer status using Airtable and Slack so the team is aware of what is going on & upcoming each day.
  • Communicate with team members on timelines, creative/project needs, and all additional project specifications everyday.
  • Implementation - onboarding new customers coming in from the Sales team.
  • Reporting - meeting with customers to discuss creative component analysis & further testing plans.

As a team, we've been around for about 3 years, but have recently become backed by some of the best partners in the industry, including Adobe, MediaMath, and some of NYC's best VCs.

VP of Engineering

What's the Job?

We're looking for an experienced VP of Engineering to manage a fast-paced development team. Our ideal candidate is eager to lead a team of developers and engineers, collaborate closely with product managers, and improve company policies, standards and engineering habits.

You will be joining an early-stage, fast-growing startup and overseeing the growth of a category-creating new product from beta to true scale, while collaborating daily with the executive leadership team. You'll have the ability and expectation to grow in title, compensation and responsibility as our engineering organization scales.

To be successful as a VP of Engineering, you should have prior organizational leadership experience, be able to collaborate with team members, and be a strategic problem-solver. Ultimately, a top-notch VP of Engineering should demonstrate excellent communication skills, an ability to connect with other engineers and developers, and have an excellent foundation in software design.

Responsibilities

Marpipe is a team of design-driven engineers with a culture of extreme ownership where you will see your solutions through from inception to deployment. You will be working on ideating, deploying and iterating on applications that empower creatives in advertising with data. In doing so, we're pioneering a data-driven, scientific approach to creative production.

We are looking for someone who is eager to take ownership over the following:

  • Leading the team through management and mentorship
  • Communicating with the executive leadership team on progress and timelines
  • Contributing to recruitment activities
  • Developing standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent
  • Preparing and optimizing budgets
  • Recommending technological developments and improvements on efficiency
  • Developing the team to ensure quality end products

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of full-stack development experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams remotely
  • Track record building workflow automation tools
  • Expertise in Ruby on Rails (Or similar MVC Framework)
  • Experience with recent JS frameworks
  • Experience with PostgreSQL (Or similar relational database)
  • Proficiency in supervised machine learning applications, preferably with neural networks
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience leading or managing developer sprints
  • Experience successfully collaborating with or leading distributed teams

Even better if you also have the following:

  • Docker experience
  • Dev-Ops experience
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud software (especially Adobe XD)
  • Interest or experience in non-relational databases
  • A grasp on marketing principles and advertising metrics (i.e. ROAS, CTR, CPA, etc.)
